FEMEIE

1 IEHOVA Dumnezeu a făcut să cadă un somn adânc asupra omului și el a adormit; și a luat una din coaste lui și a închis carnea în locul acesteia: iar coasta, pe care Iehova Dumnezeu o luase de la bărbat, a făcut-o femeie și a adus-o bărbatului. "Așa se citește simpla relatare a creației omenirii, în Geneza 2:21, 22, versiunea americană standard. Iehova a făcut femeie și a dat-o bărbatului. Ea a ieșit din bărbat și îi aparținea. Când a fost prezentată bărbatului, el a spus: „Acesta este acum os din oasele mele și carne din carnea mea: ea va fi numită Femeie [ebraică: Ishshah], pentru că a fost scoasă din om [ebraică: Ish]. "Prin urmare, bărbatul a acceptat-o ca soție și a luat-o sub îngrijirea sa, recunoscând-o ca pe propria sa carne și acordându-i astfel aceeași atenție ca propriei sale cărni. - Gen. 2: 23, 24.
2 Creatorul știa scopul pentru care a făcut femeie și acest scop divin a determinat relația femeii cu bărbatul. Aprecierea bărbatului față de ea ar putea fi deplină și corectă, Dumnezeu l-a făcut să știe că omul este singur de felul său și că are nevoie de un omolog, un ajutor. Așa cum spune relatarea: „„Și Iehova Dumnezeu a zis:„ Nu este bine ca omul să rămână singur; voi face pentru el un ajutor ca omologul său. Acum Domnul Dumnezeu a format din pământ toate vietățile câmpului și toate păsările cerului , pe care le-a adus omului, ca să poată vedea cum le va numi, -- și oricum le numea omul, -- orice suflet viu, așa rămânea numele acestuia. Deci, omul a dat nume tuturor animalelor domestice și păsărilor cerului și tuturor animalelor sălbatice de pe câmp, -- dar pentru om nu fusese găsit un ajutor ca omologul său." Deci Creatorul a făcut-o pe femeie să umple o anumită relație cu bărbatul. (Gen. 2: 18 - 22, Rotherham) În acest scop, el a construit-o într-un anumit fel. Structura corpului ei în sine a indicat modul în care trebuia să-i servească drept omolog, într-un mod util. Prin urmare, Dumnezeu nu a lăsat-o singură, ci a făcut din ziua creației ei ziua ei de căsătorie. Fusese luată din bărbat și, alături de bărbat, îi aparținea ca ajutor. Fiind creată dintr-o coastă de sub
brațul lui, ea era un ajutor apropiat pentru bărbatul mai puternic pe care să-l iubească, să-l îndrume și să-l îngrijească ca parte a lui.
3 God gave precedence to man by the time-order of his creation. The Jewish-Christian writer Paul gives due weight to this fact, saying: "For Adam was formed first, and then Eve." (1 Tim. 2: 13, An Amer. Trans.) The man already had responsibility toward the lower animals, but when God gave him a wife, an additional responsibility came upon the man, this time toward a creature like him, a woman. He could not shift the burden of this responsibility which the Creator had put upon him as the man of the married couple. No, he must answer to God as to how he took care of this responsibility. He must honor the position in which God placed him. Correspondingly, the woman was brought under and obligation when she was given to man. She could be a real assistant to him. As to how she met her obligation for which she had been created, she, too, must answer to God. "For," says Paul, "man was not made from woman, but woman from man, and man was not created for woman, but woman was for man." --1 Cor. 11: 8, 9, An Amer. Trans.
4 To have the divine approval, each of the couple must harmonize with the divine arrangement and do so gladly and with gratitude. Then there would be no friction between them, but joyous companionship. God did not create them for tension to exists between the as opposites. He made them to fit into each other's lives, for their mutual benefit and to the glory and pleasure of their Maker. That called for love between them. God made them to love each other and thus to serve each other, each one respecting the other's position. Together, they must love God, keeping his commands and fulfilling the divine mandate he gave them: "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the domestic animals, and all the living things that crawl on the earth!" --Gen. 1: 28, An Amer. 5 What would have resulted had that first human pair kept loving their Creator and loving each other? The divine mandate would by now be nearly fulfilled
